Sigma Nu Strong House Corp Update Article Title

As I reflect on the spring semester, I’m proud to report the men of Sigma Nu at Bradley University continued to uphold the principles of Love, Honor, and Truth. We have had a busy and productive 2025 so far, and I’m excited to share our recent achievements and upcoming plans.
This past semester, we hosted our annual Gameball Run, benefiting the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois’ Almost Home Kids program. Thanks to the hard work of our brothers and the generosity of the campus community and our alumni, we raised more than $20,000! When a child is medically stable enough to leave the hospital but the family needs more time to prepare at home, Almost Home Kids provides care at a fully equipped transitional space.
From intramural sports to community involvement, the brotherhood continued to grow stronger. One of our highlights was the

IFC Philanthropy of the Year award, men of Bradley

annual alumni golf outing that was held on April 26 at Madison Golf Course in Peoria. More than 20 alumni joined us on the course and returned to Fredonia for an open house event. Later this year, Zeta Phi will proudly celebrate 70 years of brotherhood! Keep an eye out for a special alumni event this fall.
As the House Corporation, we are always looking for dedicated volunteers who are passionate about preserving the fraternity house and mentoring our undergraduate brothers for success beyond graduation. If you are interested in serving on the House Corporation or Advisory Board, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Fraternally,
Wes Zobrist ’06 (ZP1023)

Zeta Phi Chapter is thriving, pursuing its goals while expanding outreach to Bradley’s campus and the National Fraternity. This semester, three brothers were initiated into Order of Omega, a prestigious honor society recognizing leadership among Greek organizations: Miguel Smith ’25 (ZΦ1311), Josh Beckman ’25 (ZΦ1313), and Logan Vargas ’27 (ZΦ1330). Additionally, Brother Vargas was appointed as a High Council Collegiate Advisor for Sigma Nu’s Board of High Council, providing valuable support and resources to help the Zeta Phi Chapter address challenges and enhance its initiatives.

The chapter also earned significant recognition this year, winning the Philanthropy of the Year award from the Interfraternity Council. This award was revamped for 2025, and Zeta Phi earned it through our continued philanthropic excellence. Hi-rickety to Brother Colin Vincent ’27 (ZΦ1333) for his outstanding work as philanthropy chairman!

Zeta Phi’s growth on campus extends beyond philanthropy and service; our brothers are deeply involved in other student organizations. Impressively, 97% of our members participate in at least one additional student organization, with over 15% holding leadership positions. This year, the chapter raised $20,800 for the Almost Home Kids Program
and averaged over 16 hours of community service per member. Notable organizations our members are involved in include the Student Senate, IFC Executive Board, and various business and engineering societies.

The chapter was also proud to send two members, Ayden Phillips ’27 (ZΦ1334) and Logan Vargas, to the College of Chapters Program. Looking ahead, Brothers Niko Valenzuela ’28 (ZΦ1341) and Aaron Oliver Diaz ’28 (ZΦ1350) will attend the Lexington Leadership Institute Program this summer. This marks the second year of the program’s existence and Zeta Phi’s second consecutive year of representation.

Finally, the chapter remains committed to excellence through effective transitions and ambitious goal setting. We extend our deepest appreciation to the Alumni Advisory Board and Housing Corporation for their unwavering support in our pursuit of excellence!

This year’s golf outing at Madison Golf Course in Peoria was a great success. The chapter had the opportunity to reconnect with many recent alumni as well as a few long-standing members. Following the event, the chapter welcomed alumni back to the chapter house, where the bonds of brotherhood were further strengthened over good conversation and shared memories.

Looking ahead, the chapter aims to have next year’s event scheduled by November—or earlier—to ensure even greater participation and planning!
