Throughout the month of February, Sigma Nu at Bradley University wants to highlight notable alumni from the Zeta Phi Chapter each week. This week we are proud to recognize alumnus Neil Flynn (Class of 1982). Neil Flynn is widely known for his work in television, including his role as “The Janitor” on Scrubs and as “Mike Heck” on The Middle. His career reflects qualities that align strongly with the values of Sigma Nu. Sigma Nu Zeta Phi is honored to highlight alumni who represent the fraternity’s ideals beyond campus and continue to lead through achievement and character.

Brother of the Month – Denny McNulty
January’s Brother of the Month is Denny McNulty. Denny has previously held the positions of LEAD, Community Service, Brotherhood, Reporter, and Commissary. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, Denny replied, “Sigma Nu means a great deal to me because it represents true brotherhood, personal growth, and shared values. Being part of Sigma Nu has given me the opportunity to build strong relationships, develop leadership skills, and surround myself with people who push me to be better. The experiences and lessons I’ve gained through this fraternity have shaped who I am and will continue to influence me long after college.”

Brother of the Month-Neil Rao
December’s Brother of the Month is Neil Rao. Neil has previously held the positions of House Manager, Risk, Fundraiser, and Sentinel. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, Neil replied, “Sigma Nu has given me countless memories and opportunities. It has given me a foundation to fall back on whenever I need anything in the moment or into the future. I couldn’t imagine my life without being a part of this Fraternity. The lessons and values I have learned from my time here will carry on for the rest of my life.”
Brother of the Month-Robert Parkel
November’s Brother of the month is Robert Parkel. Robert has previously held the positions of Scholarship, Greek Week, and has been on the Philanthropy Committee. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, Robert replied, “Sigma Nu means a milestone in growth that cultivated a group of people that will be present throughout my entire life. It is a community that helped me grow as a person and allowed me to help others grow in return.”

Introducing our Zeta Phi Gameball Chairman, Alex Ryia! Alex is a Sophomore this year and has held the positions of Risk and PR. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, he said, “Sigma Nu has gave me many opportunities to grow as an individual and as a productive member of an organization. The brotherhood, life long memories, and friendships I’ve made along the way will always stick with me forever. There is no place I’d rather be than here and I’m glad I made the choice to be a Sigma Nu.”
Donovon Rivera
Introducing our Zeta Phi Rush, Donovan Rivera! Donovan is a Sophomore this year and has held the positions of Rush, Social, DEI, and Historian. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, he said, “Sigma Nu is my home away from home. This house has given me friendships and brotherhood that will last a lifetime while also teaching me many things in the process. Holding different positions has allowed me to learn many valuable lessons such as responsibility, leadership, and resilience. Overall, the lessons, experiences, and opportunities Sigma Nu has given me have been amazing and something I will forever be grateful to be a part of.”

Ayden has previously held the positions of Rush, Fundraiser, Brotherhood, and Reporter When asked about what Sigma Nu means to him, Ayden said, “Sigma Nu has given me so many amazing experiences and I am very thankful to be a member of the Zeta Phi Chapter. It has given me several opportunities to travel across the country and represent our chapter on a national level. Sigma Nu has also created many lasting friendships and connections across the country for me. Sigma Nu has given me great experiences, lessons, and a brotherhood that will always feel like a home away from home.”

Introducing our Zeta Phi Treasurer, Brach Skof! Brach has been large part of our success the past 2 years. Brach has held the positions of Treasurer, Rush, Brotherhood, and Reporter. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, he said, “Sigma Nu has taught me many lessons in my life such as, responsibility, commitment, and leadership, especially during my time as recruitment chair, when I was often coordinating with other members, planning events, and meeting new people. Since joining Sigma Nu, I’ve found many lasting friendships, mentors, and connections as well. My time here in Sigma Nu has been full of amazing memories and has proved that joining this brotherhood is an experience I will forever be grateful for.”

From gaining professional experience on Sigma Nu’s High Council (Board of Directors) to just being a chapter member, this brotherhood has been an amazing chapter of my life that I never foresaw. I am truly grateful for the helping hand that Sigma Nu has extended to my life.”

Introducing our Zeta Phi Recorder, Tim Melton! Tim has made a huge impact in his second year in Sigma Nu. He holds the positions of Recorder, Commissary, and Fundraiser. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him, he said, “Sigma Nu builds a bond that is stronger than friendship. It has entered me into a support network of active members and alumni that will support me even after graduation.”

October’s Brother of the month is Sean Coen. Sean has previously held the positions of Treasurer, Gameball, PR, Brotherhood, and Reporter. When asked what Sigma Nu means to him. Sean said “Over the past few years, I’ve been blessed to lead and be a part of Sigma Nu, particularly the Zeta Phi chapter at Bradley. This experience has been truly rewarding and educational, creating bonds as friends, students, and brothers. Sigma Nu has provided me with a home away from home, and the relationships and memories created here will always serve a major role in my life. The social, intellectual, and professional development I’ve gained is something I will cherish forever.”

This past Saturday, brothers of the Zeta Phi Chapter volunteered at the Dream Center in Peoria. Together, we repainted the walls and floors of the Phoenix Center, which is an important space dedicated to providing housing for those in need.

Brother of the Month Joshua Dunn
This month’s Brother of the Month is Joshua Dunn. Josh has held many positions in the Fraternity, most notably President and Recorder. When asked about what Sigma Nu means to him, Josh said, “Since becoming a member of this profound brotherhood, it has done nothing but help to improve not only my personal life, but my professional life as well. Being part of the tradition that this chapter has set for producing some of the finest gentlemen has been nothing but life-changing for me. Instilling in me the values of Love, Truth, and Honor has allowed me to strive for excellence in everything I do as well as helped to develop a stronger sense of myself. Sigma Nu has truly driven me to be a more responsible, empathetic, and self-driven individual. I am deeply gratified to consider the members of this chapter as my lifelong brothers. My experience here has been profoundly fulfilling, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.”
